Lunch Lady Land

So I have to start out with my lunch trip to IHOP on Tuesday for this edition of the TPS Report. We usually end up going to Subway on Tuesday's for lunch because they have an amazing deal on most of their sandwiches starting at $3, so if you haven't taken advantage of that in the past, I highly suggest you do. The guy I was with was taking a class and had to be back by a certain time for lunch, so the line was out the door at Subway and starting to wrap around the building. We decide we can't wait, but hope IHOP would be quicker somehow. We go in, the lady sits us down and tells the guy I'm with he has the most amazing eyes she has ever seen. He's like ok, sure whatever, you're weird, just take our order and give us our food please. Well, she comes back to take our order and she can't look at him because of his eyes. Again, I don't get it, but whatever. She then starts telling everyone who is working there about them and thus we have a different person bring our food out, one waitress came up and asked if everything was alright. It was pretty obvious as we had both finished, our plates clean and she doesn't bother to pick them up. The craziest part of this whole thing is as we're getting up and go pay the waitress comes out to thank us and then she grabs my friend and takes him back to the kitchen to let them see his eyes! What the crap? I'm just standing there trying not to lose it because this is just too weird and we're only computer nerds who just want to eat and get back to work. Thus, we won't be making a repeat visit to the local IHOP.

The KU-K-State basketball game was last night and we came so fricking close to beating them at home on senior night and the 50th anniversary of Allen Fieldhouse. I was so pissed at some of the calls they were getting away with. Oh well, typical KU basketball. Next year though I predict that we will beat them in basketball and DESTROY them in football. I ended up meeting a friend from school and her fiance at the K-State hang out here in KC for the game. I'd never been there before and it was a cool place, but as the game was getting over, all of these random what appeared to be 16 year olds start taking the place over. Apparently it turns into a club of some sorts after 10. As we walked out they had this sign up that said "Proper Attire Required" and as we read further, it said "Absolutely no athletic apparel allowed." Well, all three of us had some K-State shirt on, so clearly we were in violation. Back to the 16 year olds though...who lets their kid out on a school night that late to go to a club/bar?

Alright, this edition must come to a close. I'm out.
