I've decided to move away from the crappy site that is diaryland and use Blogger which is much better and plus I think Google has something to do with it. It's always been up on my Google bar and now its time to utilize it. Thus the TPSReport continues here. I found out that there is a band called TPS Report. How cool is that?
Alright, well a rundown of my week is something like this. I have a new boss at work which is a very very good thing. My old boss made things very difficult and I always felt like he was well just like Lumburgh. He even did the "Yeah..." and "Mmm...k, Great". Have you seen that Southwest commercial where they talk about weekend fares or something and everyone runs out of the building cause they're so happy? Yeah that was me on Tuesday after we had the meeting and found out. There was one point after the week I took off for Christmas while my old boss was gone on vacation that I really don't mind my job all that much, it is just having to work for "the man", as we called him. Thus no more!!! I have a whole new outlook on my job and I'm hoping things will be a lot better with my new boss. He's been with the company 4 years and is moving up from being an engineer like me. Thus it should be a learning process for all of us. Probably the best part so far was a meeting we had with just the 2 other guys I work with, my new boss, and old boss. Well, my old boss was trying to give suggestions to the new boss, like how to handle this, or this has worked well in the past, etc. I could tell my new boss didn't really want to listen and the old boss just didn't want to let us go. What I think happened basically was that he had too many people to manage, they didn't think he was doing a good job, so they broke his team down into 5 smaller teams. Couldn't be a better thing let me tell you. That is pretty much it from the job front, so I'm hoping my new boss will be fully in control of things by the middle of next week.
So, the big news around here has been the BTK is caught. I'm not all that familiar with the guy or what happened, but since he's from Wichita, I've heard of him from time to time. I guess he committed 10 murders from the mid 1970's to the mid 1980's. Ever since people thought he just died on his own and lost it or something. However he resurfaced last year and they finally managed to get him. The details are still coming in, but this is a pretty big deal since they've been after him for 30 years now or something.
I've been playing Andy in various games on MSN lately which is a good time let me tell you. Of course he is TGCOE, and in his mind will always be, but I've taken him for a run on Poker and Wheel of Fortune lately. He still owns me in checkers and tic tac toe, so if you want to beat me down on something, you probably will. Wheel is great though because I'll let him and Anne all but solve a puzzle, then let them miss a letter, lose a turn, or go bankrupt and then win. Ah good times though. It reminds me of the days we played pool on yahoo and were sitting 3 feet from each other.
Alright, well I'm out to go see Pomeroy in Lawrence tonight with Yops. I haven't seen them since I left Manhattan which amazingly has been 2 years now. I'm interested to hear some of their new stuff. Should be a good time and I haven't seen Yops for awhile.
As Stuart Scott would say, "Bunnies".
